What is a POOL LIFT?

A pool lift is a mechanized seat which is tasked with raising and lowering a disabled or injured person safely into a swimming pool for the purpose of exercise, rehabilitation and therapy.

This seat usually features some type of restraint to keep the individual in question from leaving the seat voluntarily or from simply falling off.

Permanent Pool Lift

At certain pools, especially those at therapy centers a permanent pool lift can be installed on the edge of a concrete pool and will always be available. This built-in model will be able to handle far more weight.

Portable Pool Lift

This type of pool lift is usually on wheels and utilizes a hydraulic system to raise and lower the seat. It can be placed anywhere around the pool, or it can be placed in storage in the event it is not being used. This makes the portable pool lift preferable for public pools or even pools that are used for competitive sports.

Rotational Pool Lift

The lift can rotate up to 90 degrees left or right, and the arm can extend up to 35 inches, clearing obstacles up to 18 inch tall. A key lock-out system prevents the lift from being raised or lowered when not in use.

Extended Reach Pool Lift

The pool lift has all the benefits of a permanent pool lift and is good for SPAs and pools requiring additional reach and is capable of clearing gutters and benches up to 20 or more inches wide.
